Amrit Chusuwan

Amrit Chusuwan is Head of Painting at the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University, Bangkok. In the 1980s, he was very influential in the exploration of new media and the development of installation art in Thailand. He creates mixed-media works, presenting interpretations of Buddhist philosophy through video, photography, sculpture and installations. Together with Nipan Oranniwesna, Chusuwan represented Thailand at the 2007 Venice Biennale. Chusuwan is a participant in the 2008 More to Love project.
