Han Nefkens started to collect art in 2000. The H+F Collection, named after himself and his partner Felipe, is in long-term loan to various museums in The Netherlands and abroad. Nowadays Han Nefkens is not only active as a collector but also as an initiator of international art projects, often in collaboration with museums and other art institutions.

CRAC Alsace
The Centre Rhénan d’Art Contemporain – CRAC Alsace – in Altkirch is a centre for research and creation which presents exhibitions of contemporary art and which has a strong focus on education. CRAC Alsace showed the ArtAids Access for All series in 2004. Two travelling exhibitions from the H+F Collection, The Suspended Moment and So Close/So Far Away, were first shown at the CRAC, in 2005 and 2007 respectively. Both shows were curated by Hilde Teerlinck, then director of CRAC Alsace.
